Tekla followed her lifelong love of biochemistry and received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1987. She began her career in industrial health and safety, and for 36 years, worked with leaders and employees to create healthy and safe work environments. Through those years she educated and empowered employees to influence how health and safety practices were employed in their work environments. Employee input helped her create very successful health and safety programs. In 2018, dōTERRA found her, and, during the last few years of her corporate life, she recognized how essential oils fit her love of chemistry, health, and safety, and retired to pursue the gift of essential oils. Tekla believes that life is all about learning. Now, she educates people from all walks of life in the health and emotional benefits of essential oils with the mission of helping others to be healers in their own homes. Tekla is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Laser Safety Officer, Certified Essential Oil Specialist, and Certified Essential Emotions Coach. She is active in educating people in all of these areas!
